Related Product Information for anti-TNRC4 antibody
Members of the CELF/BRUNOL protein family contain two N-terminal RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains, one C-terminal RRM domain, and a divergent segment of 160-230 aa between the second and third RRM domains. Members of this protein family regulate pre-mRNA alternative splicing and may also be involved in mRNA editing, and translation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.

Uniprot Description

TNRC4: RNA-binding protein involved in the regulation of pre- mRNA alternative splicing. Mediates exon inclusion and/or exclusion in pre-mRNA that are subject to tissue-specific and developmentally regulated alternative splicing. Specifically activates exon 5 inclusion of cardiac isoforms of TNNT2 during heart remodeling at the juvenile to adult transition. Activates the splicing of MAPT/Tau exon 10. Binds to muscle-specific splicing enhancer (MSE) intronic sites flanking the alternative exon 5 of TNNT2 pre-mRNA. Belongs to the CELF/BRUNOL family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA splicing

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: mRNA binding; RNA binding; nucleotide binding

Biological Process: nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; positive regulation of nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; sperm motility; RNA splicing; spermatogenesis; regulation of alternative nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome

Product Notes

The TNRC4 celf3 (Catalog #AAA6357287) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TNRC4, NT (CELF3, BRUNOL1, CAGH4, ERDA4, TNRC4, CUGBP Elav-like family member 3, Bruno-like protein 1, CAG repeat protein 4, CUG-BP-and ETR-3-like factor 3, ELAV-type RNA-binding protein 1, Expanded repeat domain protein CAG/CTG 4, RNA-binding protein BRU reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TNRC4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNRC4 celf3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNRC4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
