Related Product Information for anti-TNFRSF6B antibody
This gene belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor
superfamily. The encoded protein is postulated to play a regulatory
role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. It acts as
a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand
binding. Overexpression of this gene has been noted in
gastrointestinal tract tumors, and it is located in a gene-rich
cluster on chromosome 20, with other potentially tumor-related
genes. Two transcript variants encoding the same isoform, but
differing in the 5' UTR, have been observed for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The encoded protein is postulated to play a regulatory role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. It acts as a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand binding. Over-expression of this gene has been noted in gastrointestinal tract tumors. Read-through transcription into this gene from the neighboring upstream gene, which encodes regulator of telomere elongation helicase 1 (RTEL1), generates a non-coding transcript. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

TNFRSF6B: Decoy receptor that can neutralize the cytotoxic ligands TNFS14/LIGHT, TNFSF15 and TNFSF6/FASL. Protects against apoptosis. Detected in fetal lung, brain and liver. Detected in adult stomach, spinal cord, lymph node, trachea, spleen, colon and lung. Highly expressed in several primary tumors from colon, stomach, rectum, esophagus and in SW480 colon carcinoma cells.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: apoptosis; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes

The TNFRSF6B tnfrsf6b (Catalog #AAA9207685) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 22-48. The TNFRSF6B Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TNFRSF6B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNFRSF6B tnfrsf6b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNFRSF6B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
