Related Product Information for anti-TMEM109 antibody
Transmembrane protein 109 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TMEM109 gene. TMEM109 maps on chromosome 11, at 11q12.2, and is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, and rat. The gene is also known as MGC5508, LOC79073. It has been described as transmembrane protein 109, mg23, mitsugumin-23. TMEM109 may mediate cellular response to DNA damage by protecting against ultraviolet C-induced cell death and can form voltage-gated calcium and potassium channels in vitro. TMEM109 is widely expressed in fat, lung, and other tissues. Diseases associated with TMEM109 include Spinal Cord Astrocytoma. 162 organisms have orthologs with the human gene TMEM109.

Product Notes

The TMEM109 (Catalog #AAA8108749) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TMEM109 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TMEM109 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IP: 0.5-2uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TMEM109 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TMEM109, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
