Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Toll-like receptor 7(TLR7) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P, IHC-F, ICC in Human;Mouse;Rat.

Background: TLR7 (Toll-like receptor 7) is protein that in humans is encoded by the TLR7 gene. Orthologs are found in mammals and birds. TLR7 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is predominantly expressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and lies in close proximity to another family member, TLR8, on human chromosome X. TLR7 recognises single stranded RNA in endosomes, which is a common feature of viral genomes which are internalised by macrophages.

Uniprot Description

TLR7: Key component of innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. TLR7 is a nucleotide-sensing TLR which is activated by single-stranded RNA. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Interacts with MYD88 via their respective TIR domains. Interacts with UNC93B1. Detected in brain, placenta, spleen, stomach, small intestine, lung and in plasmacytoid pre-dendritic cells. Belongs to the Toll-like receptor family.

The Anti-TLR7 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TLR7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Western Blot Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin Concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin Concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunocytochemistry Concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TLR7 tlr7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TLR7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
