Related Product Information for anti-tdt antibody
TdT is a nuclear enzyme that catalyzes the random addition of deoxynucleotide triphosphate to the 3'-OH groups of single-stranded DNA (1). A 58kD immunoreactive peptide has been detected in human and mouse lymphoblastoid cell lines (2). Also, a 58kD-60kD major peptide has been seen on Western Blots of mouse, rat, calf, feline and chicken thymus extracts (1). Elevated activity of TdT has been shown in neoplasms derived from immature lymphoid cells, lymphoblastic lymphomas (LL), acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL), lymphoid blast crisis of chronic myeloid leukemias (CML), and lymphomas (1-5). Rabbit anti-TdT may be used to distinguish LL from other lymphomas that do not express TdT.

Product Notes

The tdt (Catalog #AAA612741) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissue sections, or cell smears. Epitope Retrieval Required, use Citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Enzyme Digestion is not required. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the tdt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
