Related Product Information for anti-SYT13 antibody
SYT13 belongs to the large synaptotagmin protein family. All synaptotagmins show type I membrane topology, with an extracellular N terminus, a single transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic C terminus containing tandem C2 domains. Major functions of synaptotagmins include vesicular traffic, exocytosis, and secretion.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the large synaptotagmin protein family. Family members have an extracellular N-terminal transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic C terminus with two tandem C2 domains (C2A and C2B). Synaptotogmin family members can form homo- and heteromeric complexes with each other. They also have different biochemical properties and developmental profiles, and patterns of tissue distribution. Synaptotagmins function as membrane traffickers in multicellular organisms. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]

Uniprot Description

SYT13: May be involved in transport vesicle docking to the plasma membrane. Belongs to the synaptotagmin family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p11.2

Cellular Component: transport vesicle; integral to plasma membrane

Biological Process: vesicle-mediated transport

Product Notes

The SYT13 syt13 (Catalog #AAA6352976) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SYT13, NT (SYT13, KIAA1427, Synaptotagmin-13, Synaptotagmin XIII) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SYT13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SYT13 syt13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SYT13, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
