NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the sulfotransferase family. Sulfotransferases aid in the metabolism of drugs and endogenous compounds by converting these substances into more hydrophilic water-soluble sulfate conjugates that can be easily excreted. This protein catalyzes the sulfation of steroids and bile acids in the liver and adrenal glands, and may have a role in the inherited adrenal androgen excess in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Uniprot Description
SULT2A1: Sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) as sulfonate donor to catalyze the sulfonation of steroids and bile acids in the liver and adrenal glands. Belongs to the sulfotransferase 1 family.

Product Notes
The SULT2A1 sult2a1 (Catalog #AAA7126453) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SULT2A1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SULT2A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:2000-1:5000 WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SULT2A1 sult2a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SULT2A1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
