This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against ST6GALNAC4. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: ST6GALNAC4 is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. ST6GALNAC4 prefers glycoproteins rather than glycolipids as substrates and shows restricted substrate specificity, utilizing only the trisaccharide sequence Neu5Ac-alpha-2,3-Gal-beta-1,3-GalNAc. In addition, it is involved in the synthesis of ganglioside GD1A from GM1B. ST6GALNAC4 is normally found in the Golgi apparatus but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form. It is a member of glycosyltransferase family 29.The protein encoded by this gene is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. Product Notes

The ST6GALNAC4 st6galnac4 (Catalog #AAA3209334) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ST6GALNAC4 antibody - middle region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ST6GALNAC4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ST6GALNAC4 st6galnac4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: QLTRMYPGLQ VYTFTERMMA YCDQIFQDET GKNRRQSGSF LSTGWFTMIL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ST6GALNAC4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
