Preparation
Produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of the Human SMARCE1, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Immunofluorescence (IF)

(Immunofluorescence staining of SMARCE1 in U2OS cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human SMARCE1 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:500) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Nucleus.)

The SMARCE1 (SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, and actin-dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily e, member 1) encodes BAF57 protein. BAF57 is involved in ovarian cancer cell growth and sensitivity to anticancer agents, and that BAF57 may be a target for ovarian cancer therapy. SMARCE1 plays an essential role in breast cancer metastasis by protecting cells against anoikis through the HIF1A/PTK2 pathway. SMARCE1-mediated PTK2 activation likely plays a key role in promoting metastasis of basal-like and luminal B subtypes of breast tumors. BAF57/SMARCE1 is a BAF complex subunit encoded in animals by a single gene and is a component of all mammalian BAF complexes. In vivo, the loss of SMARCE1 would lead to the formation of deficient combinations of the complex which might present limited remodeling activities.
