Rabbit Polyclonal to Human SMARCAL1
Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antib...
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Anti-SMARCAL1 antibody IHC of human brain, cortex. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 5 ug/ml.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Anti-SmarcAL1 Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of Affinity Purified anti-SmarcAL1 antibody shows detection of a band ~106 kD band (arrowhead) corresponding to SmarcAL1 in human derived cultured cell lysates (HeLa nuclear extract lane 1, HeLa lane 2, A431 lane 3, Jurkat lane 4, and 293 lane 5). Approximately 5 ug of each lysates was run on a SDS-PAGE and transferred onto nitrocellulose followed by reaction with a 1:500 dilution of anti-SmarcAL1 antibody. Signal was detected using standard techniques. SmarcAL1 is the band seen between the 97 and 116kD markers.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. Members of this family have helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. The encoded protein shows sequence similarity to the E. coli RNA polymerase-binding protein HepA. Mutations in this gene are a cause of Schimke immunoosseous dysplasia (SIOD), an autosomal recessive disorder with the diagnostic features of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, renal dysfunction, and T-cell immunodeficiency. Uniprot Description
SMARCAL1: ATP-dependent annealing helicase that catalyzes the rewinding of the stably unwound DNA. Rewinds single-stranded DNA bubbles that are stably bound by replication protein A (RPA). Acts throughout the genome to reanneal stably unwound DNA, performing the opposite reaction of many enzymes, such as helicases and polymerases, that unwind DNA. Defects in SMARCAL1 are a cause of Schimke immuno-osseous dysplasia (SIOD). SIOD causes spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, renal dysfunction and T-cell immunodeficiency. Approximately half of all patients also exhibit hyperthyroidism, while around half also exhibit episodal cerebral ischema. Belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. SMARCAL1 subfamily.

Product Notes
The SMARCAL1 smarcal1 (Catalog #AAA240512) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human SMARCAL1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SMARCAL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). ELISA (1:16000 - 1:64000), IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB (1:500 - 1:3000) Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antib.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SMARCAL1 smarcal1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SMARCAL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
