The SLC35F4 gene, located on 14q22.3-q23.1, is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. An important paralog of this gene is SLC35F3. SLC35F4 is a kind of putative solute transporter, and belongs to the SLC35F solute transporter family. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. This gene is overexpressed in the Brain-Cerebellar Hemisphere (x14.5) and Brain-Cerebellum.
