Related Product Information for anti-SIGIRR antibody
Single Ig IL-1-related receptor (SIGIRR), a member of the Toll-like receptor-interleukin 1 receptor superfamily, defined by an intracellular Toll-IL-1R (TIR) domain. SIGIRR acts as a negative regulator of the Toll-like and IL-1R receptor signalling pathways. It interacts with TLR4, TLR5, TLR9 and IL-1R through the extracellular Ig domain, or the intracellular TIR domain. The Ig domain interferes with the heterodimerisation of IL-1R while the intracellular TIR domain inhibits both IL-1 and LPS signalling by attenuating the recruitment of receptor-proximal signalling components to TLR4. SIGIRR is expressed in kidney, colon, small intestine, lung, spleen and liver. It is not expressed in brain and muscle.

Uniprot Description

SIGIRR: Acts as a negative regulator of the Toll-like and IL-1R receptor signaling pathways. Attenuates the recruitment of receptor-proximal signaling components to the TLR4 receptor, probably through an TIR-TIR domain interaction with TLR4. Through its extracellular domain interferes with the heterodimerization of Il1R1 and IL1RAP. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p15.5

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of lipopolysaccharide-mediated signaling pathway; negative regulation of transcription factor activity; acute-phase response; negative regulation of cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; signal transduction; negative regulation of chemokine biosynthetic process

Product Notes

The SIGIRR sigirr (Catalog #AAA622009) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SIGIRR, CT (Single Ig IL-1-Related Receptor, Single Ig IL-1R-Related Molecule, Single Immunoglobulin Domain-Containing IL1R-Related Protein, Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor 8, TIR8) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SIGIRR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and Western Blot. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 10ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIGIRR sigirr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SIGIRR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
