Rabbit SBDS Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SBDS antibody
SBDS antibody - N-terminal region
Target Description: SBDS is a member of a highly conserved protein family that exists from archaea to vertebrates and plants. The protein may function in RNA metabolism. Mutations within its gene are associated with Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond syndrome. This gene encodes a member of a highly conserved protein family that exists from archaea to vertebrates and plants. The encoded protein may function in RNA metabolism. Mutations within this gene are associated with Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond syndrome. An alternative transcript has been described, but its biological nature has not been determined. This gene has a closely linked pseudogene that is distally located.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a highly conserved protein that plays an essential role in ribosome biogenesis. The encoded protein interacts with elongation factor-like GTPase 1 to disassociate eukaryotic initiation factor 6 from the late cytoplasmic pre-60S ribosomal subunit allowing assembly of the 80S subunit. Mutations within this gene are associated with the autosomal recessive disorder Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond syndrome. This gene has a closely linked pseudogene that is distally located. Uniprot Description
SBDS: Required for the assembly of mature ribosomes and ribosome biogenesis. Together with EFTUD1, triggers the GTP- dependent release of EIF6 from 60S pre-ribosomes in the cytoplasm, thereby activating ribosomes for translation competence by allowing 80S ribosome assembly and facilitating EIF6 recycling to the nucleus, where it is required for 60S rRNA processing and nuclear export. Required for normal levels of protein synthesis. May play a role in cellular stress resistance. May play a role in cellular response to DNA damage. May play a role in cell proliferation. Defects in SBDS are the cause of Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS). SDS is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, hematologic dysfunction, and skeletal abnormalities. Belongs to the SDO1/SBDS family.

Product Notes
The SBDS sbds (Catalog #AAA3207885) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SBDS antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SBDS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SBDS sbds for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: LQTHSVFVNV SKGQVAKKED LISAFGTDDQ TEICKQILTK GEVQVSDKER. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SBDS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
