Related Product Information for anti-SATB1 antibody
Short Description: Our SATB1 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.

Background: SATB1 (Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 1) is a chromosome-associated protein that binds to matrix attachment regions (MARs) of DNA at special AT-rich sequences and induces local chromatin-loop remodeling. SATB1 functions as both a chromatin organizer and transcription factor. It regulates gene expression and higher-order chromatin structure of multigene clusters. SATB1 acts as a docking site for several chromatin remodeling enzymes and recruits corepressors (HDACs) or coactivators (HATs) directly to promoters and enhancers. It is required for the switching of fetal globin genes, plays a role in chromatin organization and nuclear architecture during apoptosis. It is a crucial factor contributing to the initiation of X inactivation mediated by Xist RNA that occurs during embryogenesis. SATB1 contributes to metastatic potential in breast cancer cells, directly upregulating metastasis-associated genes while downregulating tumor-suppressor genes. It is also required for the differentiation of embryonic stem cells through repression of ES pluripotency factors Nanog, Klf4, and Tbx3.

Product Notes

The SATB1 satb1 (Catalog #AAA388601) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SATB1 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SATB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SATB1 satb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SATB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
