Biological Significance
Stress-activated protein kinases (SAPK)/Jun amino-terminal kinases (JNK) are members of the MAPK family and are activated by a variety of environmental stresses, inflammatory cytokines, growth factors and GPCR agonists. Stress signals are delivered to this cascade by small GTPases of the Rho family (Rac, Rho, cdc42). As with the other MAPKs, the membrane proximal kinase is a MAPKKK, typically MEKK1?4, or a member of the mixed lineage kinases (mlK) that phosphorylates and activates MKK4 (SEK) or MKK7, the SAPK/JNK kinases.
Cross-Reactivity
Human, Mouse, Rat
Immunogen
SAPK/JNK antibody was raised in Rabbit using the peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of threonine 183 (M-M-T(p)-P-Y) derived from Human SAPK/JNK as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The SAPK/JNK (Catalog #AAA837229) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's SAPK/JNK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SAPK/JNK for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SAPK/JNK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
