Related Product Information for anti-POLR3E antibody
RNA polymerase III synthesizes RNA components of the protein synthesis, pre-mRNA splicing, and tRNA processing apparatuses. The holoenzyme consists of about 15 different subunits. The RPC5 subunit is essential for efficient transcription from both the type 2 VAI and type 3 U6 RNA polymerase III promoters.

Uniprot Description

POLR3E: DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Specific peripheric component of RNA polymerase III which synthesizes small RNAs, such as 5S rRNA and tRNAs. Essential for efficient transcription from both the type 2 VAI and type 3 U6 RNA polymerase III promoters. Plays a key role in sensing and limiting infection by intracellular bacteria and DNA viruses. Acts as nuclear and cytosolic DNA sensor involved in innate immune response. Can sense non-self dsDNA that serves as template for transcription into dsRNA. The non-self RNA polymerase III transcripts, such as Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs (EBERs) induce type I interferon and NF- Kappa-B through the RIG-I pathway. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 2.7.7.6; Transcription initiation complex; Transferase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p12.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; centrosome; DNA-directed RNA polymerase III complex; cytosol; nucleus

Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter; termination of RNA polymerase III transcription; positive regulation of interferon type I production; innate immune response; gene expression; defense response to virus; RNA elongation from RNA polymerase III promoter

Product Notes

The POLR3E polr3e (Catalog #AAA9209253) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 241-271. The RPC5 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RPC5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the POLR3E polr3e for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RPC5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
