Related Product Information for anti-RelB antibody
The NFkappaB transcription factor was originally identified as a protein complex consisting of a DNA binding subunit and an associated protein. The DNA binding subunit is functionally related to c-Rel p75 and Rel B p68. The p50 subunit was initially believed to be a functionally unique protein derived from the amino terminus of a precursor designated p105. A second protein designated p52 (previously referred to as p49) has been identified that can act as an alternative NFkappaB subunit. Rel B does not bind with high affinity to NFkB sites, but heterodimers between Rel B and p50 bind with an affinity comparable to that of p50 NFkappaB homodimers. However, Rel B/p50 heterodimers, in contrast to NFkappaB heterodimers, transactivates transcription of promotors containing kappaB binding sites.

Uniprot Description

RELB: a transcription factor of the nuclear factor-kappaB (NFkB) transcription complex. Stimulates promoter activity in the presence NFkB1/NFkB-p50. Plays role in regulation of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma through activation of downstream target genes. Does not associate with DNA or RelA/NFkB-p65.

Product Notes

The RelB relb (Catalog #AAA3013357) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RelB Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RelB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:1,000 ICC: 1:50-1:200 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RelB relb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RelB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
