Related Product Information for anti-RBM35A antibody
RBM35A, also known as ESRP1, is a mRNA splicing factor that with its related protein RBM35B (ESRP2) are coordinators of an epithelial cell-type-specific splicing program. RBM35A contains three putative RNA recognition motifs and acts by directly binding specific sequences in mRNAs. RBM35A is involved in posttranscriptional regulation of a number of genes such as FGFR2, CD44, CTNND1, and ENAH by exerting a differential effect on protein translation via 5' UTRs of mRNAs. Other recent studies have shown that RMB35A may also act as a novel tumor suppressor.

NCBI Description

ESPR1 is an epithelial cell-type-specific splicing regulator (Warzecha et al., 2009 [PubMed 19285943]).[supplied by OMIM, Aug 2009]

Uniprot Description

RBM35A: mRNA splicing factor that regulates the formation of epithelial cell-specific isoforms. Specifically regulates the expression of FGFR2-IIIb, an epithelial cell-specific isoform of FGFR2. Also regulates the splicing of CD44, CTNND1, ENAH, 3 transcripts that undergo changes in splicing during the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Acts by directly binding specific sequences in mRNAs. Binds the GU-rich sequence motifs in the ISE/ISS-3, a cis-element regulatory region present in the mRNA of FGFR2. Belongs to the ESRP family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA processing

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q22.1

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: mRNA binding; nucleotide binding

Product Notes

The RBM35A esrp1 (Catalog #AAA9404383) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RBM35A Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RBM35A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RBM35A esrp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RBM35A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
