Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse PXMP3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PXMP3 antibody
PXMP3, ID (PEX2, PAF1, PMP3, PMP35, PXMP3, RNF72, Peroxisome biogenesis factor 2, 35kD peroxisomal membrane protein, Peroxin-2, Peroxisomal membrane protein 3, Peroxisome assembly factor 1, RING finger protein 72) (APC)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of mouse cerebellum tissue lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS649562. PXMP3 (arrow) was detected usingMBS649562.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma reacted withMBS649562, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS649562 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of WiDr cells (right histogram) using MBS649562 compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an integral peroxisomal membrane protein required for peroxisome biogenesis. The protein is thought to be involved in peroxisomal matrix protein import. Mutations in this gene result in one form of Zellweger syndrome and infantile Refsum disease. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PXMP3: Somewhat implicated in the biogenesis of peroxisomes. Defects in PEX2 are the cause of peroxisome biogenesis disorder complementation group 5 (PBD-CG5); also known as PBD-CGF. PBD refers to a group of peroxisomal disorders arising from a failure of protein import into the peroxisomal membrane or matrix. The PBD group is comprised of four disorders: Zellweger syndrome (ZWS), neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy (NALD), infantile Refsum disease (IRD), and classical rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata (RCDP). ZWS, NALD and IRD are distinct from RCDP and constitute a clinical continuum of overlapping phenotypes known as the Zellweger spectrum. The PBD group is genetically heterogeneous with at least 14 distinct genetic groups as concluded from complementation studies. Defects in PEX2 are a cause of Zellweger syndrome (ZWS). ZWS is a fatal peroxisome biogenesis disorder characterized by dysmorphic facial features, hepatomegaly, ocular abnormalities, renal cysts, hearing impairment, profound psychomotor retardation, severe hypotonia and neonatal seizures. Death occurs within the first year of life. Defects in PEX2 are a cause of infantile Refsum disease (IRD). IRD is a mild peroxisome biogenesis disorder (PBD). Clinical features include early onset, mental retardation, minor facial dysmorphism, retinopathy, sensorineural hearing deficit, hepatomegaly, osteoporosis, failure to thrive, and hypocholesterolemia. The biochemical abnormalities include accumulation of phytanic acid, very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA), di- and trihydroxycholestanoic acid and pipecolic acid. Belongs to the pex2/pex10/pex12 family.

Product Notes
The PXMP3 pex2 (Catalog #AAA6339295) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PXMP3, ID (PEX2, PAF1, PMP3, PMP35, PXMP3, RNF72, Peroxisome biogenesis factor 2, 35kD peroxisomal membrane protein, Peroxin-2, Peroxisomal membrane protein 3, Peroxisome assembly factor 1, RING finger protein 72) (APC) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PXMP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PXMP3 pex2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PXMP3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
