Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence staining of PUM1 in U251MG cells. Produced in rabbits immunized with E Coli-derived Human Pumilio 1/PUM1 fragment, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Pumilio (PUM) proteins are RNA-binding proteins that posttranscriptionally regulate gene expression in many organisms. Their PUF domain recognizes specific PUM-binding elements (PBE) in the 3' untranslated region of target mRNAs while engaging protein cofactors such as NANOS that repress the expression of target mRNAs through the recruitment of effector complexes. Abnormal expression of the pumilio RNA-binding family member 1 (PUM1) gene is closely related to chromosomal mutations and carcinogenesis. PUM1 has been reported to function as an oncogene in ovarian cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. PUM1 could be a potential target to develop pharmaceuticals and novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
