Related Product Information for anti-PSMD14 antibody
The PSMD14 (POH1, also known as Rpn11/MPR1/S13/CepP1) protein within the 19S complex (19S cap; PA700) is responsible for substrate deubiquitination during proteasomal degradation. PSMD14 is a 19S-proteasome-associated deubiquitinating enzyme that facilitates protein degradation by the 20S proteasome core particle. Accumulating evidence indicates that PSMD14 has emerged as a critical oncogenic factor by promoting tumor growth. PSMD14 may serve as a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients. The deubiquitinase PSMD14 acts as a positive regulator for the initiation of the BMP6 signaling pathway through deubiquitinating K48-linked ALK2 type I receptor ubiquitination mediated by Smurf1 E3 ligase, resulting in increased stability of the ALK2.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a component of the 26S proteasome. The 26S proteasome is a large multiprotein complex that catalyzes the degradation of ubiquitinated intracellular proteins. The encoded protein is a component of the 19S regulatory cap complex of the 26S proteasome and mediates substrate deubiquitination. A pseudogene of this gene is also located on the long arm of chromosome 2. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Uniprot Description

PSMD14: a component of the 26S proteasome. The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is characterized by its ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. Proteasomes are distributed throughout eukaryotic cells at a high concentration and cleave peptides in an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway.

Product Notes

The PSMD14 psmd14 (Catalog #AAA8104030) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PSMD14 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PSMD14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSMD14 psmd14 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PSMD14, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
