ACPP is also named as PAP (prostatic acid phosphatase), 5'-nucleotidase, thiamine monophosphatas and Belongs to the histidine acid phosphatase family. This enzyme is a homodimeric glycoprotein with a subunit molecular mass of 50 kDa and is an androgen-stimulated secretory product of the human prostate gland. It is also a non-specific phosphatase and has been implicated in the progression of prostate cancer, which inactivates LPA in human seminal plasma. This protein has three glycosylation sites.

Uniprot Description

ACPP: A non-specific tyrosine phosphatase that dephosphorylates a diverse number of substrates under acidic conditions (pH 4-6) including alkyl, aryl, and acyl orthophosphate monoesters and phosphorylated proteins. Has lipid phosphatase activity and inactivates lysophosphatidic acid in seminal plasma. Belongs to the histidine acid phosphatase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PSAP acpp (Catalog #AAA2564416) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PSAP Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PSAP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IHC: 1:100-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSAP acpp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PSAP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
