Target Description: PPP1CA is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is a serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as cell division, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, protein synthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Increased PP1 activity has been observed in the end stage of heart failure. Studies in both human and mice suggest that PP1 is an important regulator of cardiac function. Mouse studies also suggest that PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). Product Notes
The PPP1CA (Catalog #AAA3214000) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PPP1CA antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PPP1CA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPP1CA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: MSDSEKLNLD SIIGRLLEGS RVLTPHCAPV QGSRPGKNVQ LTENEIRGLC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PPP1CA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
