Related Product Information for anti-Ppp1r15a antibody
Protein phosphatase-1 (PP1) is 1 of 4 major serine/threonine-specific protein phosphatases involved in the dephosphorylation of a variety of proteins. These enzymes work in opposition to the protein kinases to control the level of phosphorylation. Protein phosphatase (PP1) is essential for cell division, and it participates in the regulation of glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility and protein synthesis, as well as in regulation of ionic conductances and long-term synaptic plasticity. PP1 has 3 catalytic subunits, designated alpha (PPP1CA), beta (PPP1CB), and gamma (PPP1CC).

Uniprot Description

GADD34: Recruits the serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1 to dephosphorylate the translation initiation factor eIF-2A/EIF2S1, thereby reversing the shut-off of protein synthesis initiated by stress-inducible kinases and facilitating recovery of cells from stress. Down-regulates the TGF-beta signaling pathway by promoting dephosphorylation of TGFB1 by PP1. May promote apoptosis by inducing TP53 phosphorylation on 'Ser-15'. Belongs to the PPP1R15 family.

Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Apoptosis; DNA repair, damage; Translation initiation

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; mitochondrial outer membrane; mitochondrion; membrane; endoplasmic reticulum; cytoplasm; protein phosphatase type 1 complex

Molecular Function: protein phosphatase regulator activity; protein phosphatase binding; protein phosphatase 1 binding; protein kinase binding

Biological Process: regulation of translation; positive regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity; negative regulation of protein amino acid dephosphorylation; apoptosis; unfolded protein response; negative regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity; positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase I promoter

Product Notes

The Ppp1r15a ppp1r15a (Catalog #AAA628520) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PP1C gamma, CT (Serine/Threonine Protein Phosphatase PP1-gamma Catalytic Subunit, PP-1G, Protein Phosphatase 1C Catalytic Subunit, PPP1CC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PP1C gamma can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ppp1r15a ppp1r15a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PP1C gamma, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
