Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Phospholamban (PLB) is a 52 amino acid phosphoprotein which regulates the calcium pump of cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). PLB is an oligomer of five identical subunits each having a cytoplasmic and transmembrane domain. Function: Pectinolytic enzymes consist of four classes of enzymes: pectin lyase, polygalacturonase, pectin methylesterase and rhamnogalacturonase. Among pectinolytic enzymes, pectin lyase is the most important in depolymerization of pectin, since it cleaves internal glycosidic bonds of highly methylated pectins. Ref.1 Ref.3
Catalytic activity: Eliminative cleavage of (1->4)-alpha-D-galacturonan methyl ester to give oligosaccharides with 4-deoxy-6-O-methyl-alpha-D-galact-4-enuronosyl groups at their non-reducing ends.
