Related Product Information for anti-PITX3 antibody
Pituitary homeobox 3 (Pitx3) is a bicoid-related homeodomain transcription factor that plays an important role in the development and maintenance of midbrain dopaminergic (mDA) neurons, ocular lens and skeletal muscle. In humans, mutations in PITX3 are responsible for cataracts and anterior segment abnormalities of varying degree; polymorphisms are associated with Parkinson's disease. In aphakia (ak) mice, two deletions in the promoter region of Pitx3 cause abnormal lens development.

Product Notes

The PITX3 (Catalog #AAA8109635) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PITX3/PTX3 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Cynomolgus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PITX3/PTX3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IHC-P: 1:250-1:1000 IP: 0.2-1uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PITX3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PITX3/PTX3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
