Uniprot Description
PHIP: Probable regulator of the insulin and insulin-like growth factor signaling pathways. Stimulates cell proliferation through regulation of cyclin transcription and has an anti- apoptotic activity through AKT1 phosphorylation and activation. Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Interacts with IRS1 and IRS2. Interacts (via bromo domain) with acetylated lysine residues on histone H1.4, histone H3 and H4 (in vitro)
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q14
Cellular Component: nucleus
Molecular Function: protein binding; insulin receptor binding
Biological Process: positive regulation of insulin-like growth factor receptor signaling pathway; regulation of cell shape; regulation of protein amino acid phosphorylation; positive regulation of mitosis; protein import into nucleus; regulation of growth; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of cell proliferation; insulin receptor signaling pathway; regulation of cell morphogenesis; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes
The PHIP phip (Catalog #AAA3012000) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PHIP Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PHIP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PHIP phip for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PHIP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
