FLISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-PFKFB2 Pab in mouse kidney tissue lysate (35ug/lane). PFKFB2(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is involved in both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a regulatory molecule that controls glycolysis in eukaryotes. The encoded protein has a 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase activity that catalyzes the synthesis of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, and a fructose-2,6-biphosphatase activity that catalyzes the degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate. This protein regulates fructose-2,6-bisphosphate levels in the heart, while a related enzyme encoded by a different gene regulates fructose-2,6-bisphosphate levels in the liver and muscle. This enzyme functions as a homodimer. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PFKFB2: a bifunctional heterodimeric enzyme involved in both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a regulatory molecule that controls glycolysis in eukaryotes. Regulates fructose-2,6-bisphosphate levels in the heart, while a related enzyme encoded by a different gene regulates fructose-2,6-bisphosphate levels in the liver and muscle. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The PFKFB2 pfkfb2 (Catalog #AAA6492837) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PFKFB2, NT (6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-biphosphatase 2, 6PF-2-K/Fru-2,6-P2ase 2, PFK/FBPase 2, PFK-2/FBPase-2, 6PF-2-K/Fru-2,6-P2ase Heart-type Isozyme, DKFZp781D2217, MGC138308, MGC138310) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PFKFB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PFKFB2 pfkfb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PFKFB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
