Rabbit anti-Human, mouse PEMT Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PEMT antibody
PEMT Antibody (N-term)
IHC-P~~1:10~50
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of lysates from CEM, rat L6 cell line and human liver tissue lysate(from left to right), using PEMT Antibody (N-term). MBS9211349 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 35ug per lane.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-PEMT Antibody (N-term) Pab MBS9211349 in mouse kidney tissue lysates (35ug/lane). PEMT(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with PEMT antibody (N-term) MBS9211349, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is the most abundant mammalian phospholipid. This gene encodes an enzyme which converts phosphatidylethanolamine to phosphatidylcholine by sequential methylation in the liver. Another distinct synthetic pathway in nucleated cells converts intracellular choline to phosphatidylcholine by a three-step process. The protein isoforms encoded by this gene localize to the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria-associated membranes. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
Uniprot Description
PEMT iso2: Catalyzes three sequential methylation reactions of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) by AdoMet, thereby producing phosphatidylcholine (PC). Belongs to the PEMT/PEM2 methyltransferase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The PEMT pemt (Catalog #AAA9211349) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PEMT Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PEMT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry-paraffin (IHC-p). WB~~1:1000 IHC-P~~1:10~50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PEMT pemt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PEMT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
