Related Product Information for anti-PDE7B antibody
Phosphodiesterase 7B, a cAMP-specific phosphodiesterase, has been shown to affect cAMP-mediated neural activity and cAMP metabolism in the brain. PDE7B activity is inhibited by dipyridamole, IBMX, and SCH51866. At least three splice variants have been isolated for PDE7B from rats and they show tissue specific expression patterns.

NCBI Description

The 3',5'-cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP function as second messengers in a wide variety of signal transduction pathways. 3',5'-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyze the hydrolysis of cAMP and cGMP to the corresponding 5'-monophosphates and provide a mechanism to downregulate cAMP and cGMP signaling. This gene encodes a cAMP-specific phosphodiesterase, a member of the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]

Uniprot Description

PDE7B: Hydrolyzes the second messenger cAMP, which is a key regulator of many important physiological processes. May be involved in the control of cAMP-mediated neural activity and cAMP metabolism in the brain. Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE7 subfamily.

Protein type: Phosphodiesterase; Nucleotide Metabolism - purine; EC 3.1.4.53

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q23-q24

Cellular Component: cytosol

Molecular Function: 3',5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: synaptic transmission; cAMP catabolic process; signal transduction

Product Notes

The PDE7B pde7b (Catalog #AAA240107) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human PDE7B reacts with Human Predicted Reactivity: Gibbon, Monkey (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDE7B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (10 ug/ml) Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antib.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE7B pde7b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE7B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
