NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The 3',5'-cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP function as second messengers in a wide variety of signal transduction pathways. 3',5'-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyze the hydrolysis of cAMP and cGMP to the corresponding 5'-monophosphates and provide a mechanism to downregulate cAMP and cGMP signaling. This gene encodes a cAMP-specific phosphodiesterase, a member of the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]
Uniprot Description
Function: Hydrolyzes the second messenger cAMP, which is a key regulator of many important physiological processes. May be involved in the control of cAMP-mediated neural activity and cAMP metabolism in the brain.
Catalytic activity: Adenosine 3',5'-cyclic phosphate + H2O = adenosine 5'-phosphate.
Cofactor: Binds 2 divalent metal cations per subunit. Site 1 may preferentially bind zinc ions, while site 2 has a preference for magnesium and/or manganese ions
By similarity.
Enzyme regulation: Inhibited by dipyridamole, IBMX and SCH 51866. Insensitive to zaprinast, rolipram, and milrinone.
Pathway: Purine metabolism; 3',5'-cyclic AMP degradation; AMP from 3',5'-cyclic AMP: step 1/1.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in brain. Also expressed in heart, liver, skeletal muscle and pancreas.
Domain: Composed of a C-terminal catalytic domain containing two putative divalent metal sites and an N-terminal regulatory domain.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE7 subfamily.

Product Notes
The PDE7B pde7b (Catalog #AAA649267) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDE7B, CT (cAMP-specific 3',5'-cyclic Phosphodiesterase 7B) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDE7B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE7B pde7b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE7B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
