Related Product Information for anti-PARP1 antibody
PARP, a 116 kDa nuclear poly (ADPribose) polymerase, appears to be involved in DNA repair in response to environmental stress (1). This protein can be cleaved by many ICElike caspases in vitro (2,3) and is one of the main cleavage targets of caspase3 in vivo (4,5). In human PARP, the cleavage occurs between Asp214 and Gly215, which separates the PARP aminoterminal DNA binding domain (24 kDa) from the carboxyterminal catalytic domain (89 kDa) (2,4). PARP helps cells to maintain their viability; cleavage of PARP facilitates cellular disassembly and serves as a marker of cells undergoing apoptosis (6).

Product Notes

The PARP1 parp1 (Catalog #AAA126121) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PARP Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PARP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Western Blot (WB): 1:1000-1: 2000 Immunohistochemistry (IHC): 1:20 - 1:50 Immunocytochemistry (ICC): 1:50 - 1:100 Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS): 1:20 - 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PARP1 parp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PARP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
