Related Product Information for anti-NLRP4 antibody
NALPs are cytoplasmic proteins that form a subfamily within the larger CATERPILLER protein family. Most short NALPs, such as NALP4, have an N-terminal pyrin (MEFV; MIM 608107) domain (PYD), followed by a NACHT domain, a NACHT-associated domain (NAD), and a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region. The long NALP, NALP1 (MIM 606636), also has a C-terminal extension containing a function to find domain (FIIND) and a caspase recruitment domain (CARD). NALPs are implicated in the activation of proinflammatory caspases (e.g., CASP1; MIM 147678) via their involvement in multiprotein complexes called inflammasomes

Uniprot Description

NALP4: May be involved in inflammation. Acts as a negative regulator of the type I interferon signaling pathway by serving as an adapter to promote DTX4-mediated ubiquitination of activated TBK1, and its subsequent degradation. Belongs to the NLRP family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cancer Testis Antigen (CTA)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.43

Cellular Component: cytosol

Molecular Function: ATP binding

Biological Process: regulation of interferon type I production; positive regulation of interferon type I production; innate immune response; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The NLRP4 nlrp4 (Catalog #AAA9406710) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NLRP4 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NLRP4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NLRP4 nlrp4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NLRP4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
