Related Product Information for anti-KLRC1 antibody
NKG2, also known as NKG2A(CD159A), is a member of the killer cell lectin-like receptor family. This family is a group of transmembrane proteins preferentially expressed in NK cells. Members of this family are characterized by the type II membrane orientation and the presence of a C-type lectin domain. NKG2 contains 1 C-type lectin domain and forms a complex with another family member, KLRD1/CD94. It is expressed only in NK-cells, but not in T-cells or B-cells. It has been shown that NKG2 represents a family of related cDNA clones, designated NKG2A, NKG2B, NKG2C, and NKG2D, which encode type 2 integral membrane proteins (extracellular C-terminus) containing a C-type lectin domain. Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that can mediate lysis of certain tumor cells and virus-infected cells without previous activation. They can also regulate specific humoral and cell-mediated immunity. NKG2 functions as a receptor for the recognition of MHC class I HLA-E molecules by NK cells and some cytotoxic T-cells.

NCBI Description

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that can mediate lysis of certain tumor cells and virus-infected cells without previous activation. They can also regulate specific humoral and cell-mediated immunity. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the killer cell lectin-like receptor family, also called NKG2 family, which is a group of transmembrane proteins preferentially expressed in NK cells. This family of proteins is characterized by the type II membrane orientation and the presence of a C-type lectin domain. This protein forms a complex with another family member, KLRD1/CD94, and has been implicated in the recognition of the MHC class I HLA-E molecules in NK cells. The genes of NKG2 family members form a killer cell lectin-like receptor gene cluster on chromosome 12. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The KLRC1 klrc1 (Catalog #AAA8107144) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NKG2A Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NKG2A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:1000 ELISA: 1:25,000-1:50,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLRC1 klrc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NKG2A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
