Related Product Information for anti-NTNG1 antibody
NTNG1 (Netrin G1) is a Protein Coding gene. This gene encodes a preproprotein that is processed into a secreted protein containing eukaryotic growth factor (EGF)-like domains. NTNG1 is broadly expressed in the brain, kidney, and other tissues. Netrins including NTNG1 are known to be axon guidance factors in the developing brain. It is involved in controlling patterning and neuronal circuit formation at the laminar, cellular, subcellular, and synaptic levels. The NTNG1 protein has an important role in the developing central nervous system, particularly in axonal guidance, signaling, and NMDA receptor function, and was a good candidate gene for Rett syndrome (RTT). They could be very important contributors to the genetic risk for psychosis.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a preproprotein that is processed into a secreted protein containing eukaroytic growth factor (EGF)-like domains. This protein acts to guide axon growth during neuronal development. Polymorphisms in this gene may be associated with schizophrenia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]

Product Notes

The NTNG1 (Catalog #AAA8106374) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Netrin G1/NTNG1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Netrin G1/NTNG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NTNG1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Netrin G1/NTNG1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
