Related Product Information for anti-NDUFV2 antibody
The NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I) of the mitochondrial respiratory chain catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, and consists of at least 43 subunits. The complex is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. This gene encodes the 24 kDa subunit of complex I, and is involved in electron transfer. Mutations in this gene are implicated in Parkinson's disease, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and have been found in one case of early onset hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and encephalopathy. A non-transcribed pseudogene of this locus is found on chromosome 19.

Uniprot Description

NDUFV2: Core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I) that is believed to belong to the minimal assembly required for catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. Belongs to the complex I 24 kDa subunit family.

Protein type: Energy Metabolism - oxidative phosphorylation; EC 1.6.5.3; Oxidoreductase; Mitochondrial; EC 1.6.99.3

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 18p11.22

Cellular Component: mitochondrion; mitochondrial inner membrane; mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I

Molecular Function: 2 iron, 2 sulfur cluster binding; electron carrier activity; NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: cardiac muscle development; cellular metabolic process; nervous system development; mitochondrial electron transport, NADH to ubiquinone

Disease: Mitochondrial Complex I Deficiency

Product Notes

The NDUFV2 ndufv2 (Catalog #AAA2522662) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NDUFV2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NDUFV2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NDUFV2 ndufv2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NDUFV2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
