Related Product Information for anti-NCOR1 antibody
This gene encodes a protein that mediates ligand-independent transcription repression of thyroid-hormone and retinoic-acid receptors by promoting chromatin condensation and preventing access of the transcription machinery. It is part of a complex which also includes histone deacetylases and transcriptional regulators similar to the yeast protein Sin3p. This gene is located between the Charcot-Marie-Tooth and Smith-Magenis syndrome critical regions on chromosome 17. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 17 and 20.

It is part of a complex which also includes histone deacetylases and transcriptional regulators similar to the yeast protein Sin3p. Uniprot Description

N-CoR1: is a protein that regulates the activity of some transcription factors, including nuclear receptors, by promoting histone deacetylation and chromatin condensation, thereby altering the accessibility of various genes to the transcriptional machinery. Is known to play a role genetic programming including that for myogenesis. Is a component of a large corepressor complex that contains SIN3A/B and histone deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2. This complex associates with the thyroid and the retinoic acid receptors in the absence of ligand. Interacts with the catalytic domain of HDAC9. Increased expression correlates with the loss of vitamin D responsiveness in aggressive androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. Its gene tends to be overexpressed in multiple-myeloma cell lines.

Product Notes

The NCOR1 ncor1 (Catalog #AAA2516409) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCOR1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCOR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IHC: 1:100-1:300. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCOR1 ncor1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCOR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
