Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human NCAPH2.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Similarity
Belongs to the CND2 H2 (condensin-2 subunit 2) family.
Subunit Structure
Component of the condensin-2 complex, which contains the SMC2 and SMC4 heterodimer, and three non SMC subunits, NCAPG2, NCAPH2 and NCAPD3 that probably regulate the complex.
Function
Regulatory subunit of the condensin-2 complex, a complex that seems to provide chromosomes with an additional level of organization and rigidity and in establishing mitotic chromosome architecture. May promote the resolution of double-strand DNA catenanes (intertwines) between sister chromatids. Condensin-mediated compaction likely increases tension in catenated sister chromatids, providing directionality for type II topoisomerase-mediated strand exchanges toward chromatid decatenation. Required for decatenation of chromatin bridges at anaphase. Early in neurogenesis, may play an essential role to ensure accurate mitotic chromosome condensation in neuron stem cells, ultimately affecting neuron pool and cortex size (By similarity). Seems to have lineage-specific role in T-cell development.
Note
Distributed along the arms of chromosomes assembled in vivo and in vitro.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the non-SMC subunits of the condensin II complex. This complex plays an essential role in mitotic chromosome assembly. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

NCAPH2: Regulatory subunit of the condensin-2 complex, a complex that seems to provide chromosomes with an additional level of organization and rigidity and in establishing mitotic chromosome architecture. May play a role in lineage-specific role in T-cell development. Belongs to the CND2 H2 (condensin-2 subunit 2) family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The NCAPH2 ncaph2 (Catalog #AAA9630068) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCAPH2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCAPH2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA)(peptide). ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCAPH2 ncaph2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCAPH2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
