Related Product Information for anti-MYH7 antibody
Mutations in the myosin heavy chain 7 (MYH7) gene are the source of an allelic series of diseases, including various cardiomyopathies and skeletal myopathies that usually manifest in adulthood. MYH7-related myopathies are emerging as an important group of muscle diseases of childhood and adulthood, with variable clinical and histopathological expression depending on the type and location of the mutation. Mutations in the head and neck domains are a well-established cause of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy whereas mutations in the distal regions have been associated with a range of skeletal myopathies with or without cardiac involvement, including Laing distal myopathy and Myosin storage myopathy. beta-myosin heavy chain (MHC) 7 (MYH7) is the dominant pathogenic gene that harbors mutations in 20-30% of cases of familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).

Product Notes

The MYH7 (Catalog #AAA8109010) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MYH7 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Cynomolgus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MYH7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:50-1:200 IP: 5-10uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYH7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MYH7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
