Rabbit anti-Human MMADHC Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MMADHC antibody
MMADHC Antibody
IF: 1:50-1:200
Constituents: 50% Glycerol, 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(IHC image of MBS7108643 diluted at 1:300 and staining in paraffin-embedded human glioma cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4 degree C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(IHC image of MBS7108643 diluted at 1:300 and staining in paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system.
(Immunofluorescence staining of HepG2 cells with MBS7108643 at 1:100, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4 degree C.The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein that is involved in an early step of vitamin B12 metabolism. Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is essential for normal development and survival in humans. Mutations in this gene cause methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type cblD (MMADHC), a disorder of cobalamin metabolism that is characterized by decreased levels of the coenzymes adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 11 and X.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2008]
Uniprot Description
Involved in cobalamin metabolism (PubMed:18385497, PubMed:23415655, PubMed:24722857, PubMed:26364851). Plays a role in regulating the biosynthesis of two coenzymes, methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (PubMed:18385497, PubMed:24722857). Plays a role in regulating the proportion of methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (PubMed:23415655, PubMed:24722857). Promotes oxidation of cob(II)alamin bound to MMACHC (PubMed:26364851).

Product Notes
The MMADHC mmadhc (Catalog #AAA7108643) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MMADHC Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MMADHC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC: 1:200-1:500 IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMADHC mmadhc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MMADHC, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
