Rabbit anti-Human MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MICA antibody
MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A (MHC Class I Polypeptide-related Sequence A, MICA, MIC-A, FLJ60820, MGC111087, PERB11.1) (Biotin)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS625448. MICA (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma using MBS625448 which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis MDA-MB231 cells using MBS625448 followed by Alexa Fluor488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of SK-Br-3 cells using MBS625448 (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
MICA: Seems to have no role in antigen presentation. Acts as a stress-induced self-antigen that is recognized by gamma delta T- cells. Ligand for the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor. Binding to KLRK1 leads to cell lysis. Anti-MICA antibodies and ligand shedding are involved in the progression of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS)to multiple myeloma. Genetic variations in MICA may be a cause of susceptibility to psoriasis type 1 (PSORS1). Psoriasis is a common, chronic inflammatory disease of the skin with multifactorial etiology. It is characterized by red, scaly plaques usually found on the scalp, elbows and knees. These lesions are caused by abnormal keratinocyte proliferation and infiltration of inflammatory cells into the dermis and epidermis. Genetic variation in MICA is a cause of susceptibility to psoriatic arthritis (PSORAS). PSORAS is an inflammatory, seronegative arthritis associated with psoriasis. It is a heterogeneous disorder ranging from a mild, non-destructive disease to a severe, progressive, erosive arthropathy. Five types of psoriatic arthritis have been defined: asymmetrical oligoarthritis characterized by primary involvement of the small joints of the fingers or toes; asymmetrical arthritis which involves the joints of the extremities; symmetrical polyarthritis characterized by a rheumatoidlike pattern that can involve hands, wrists, ankles, and feet; arthritis mutilans, which is a rare but deforming and destructive condition; arthritis of the sacroiliac joints and spine (psoriatic spondylitis). Belongs to the MHC class I family. MIC subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The MICA mica (Catalog #AAA6488077) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A (MHC Class I Polypeptide-related Sequence A, MICA, MIC-A, FLJ60820, MGC111087, PERB11.1) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MICA mica for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
