Related Product Information for anti-NP-CoV antibody
Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses with a positive-sense RNA genome and with a nucleocapsid of helical symmetry. Coronavirus nucleoproteins localize to the cytoplasm and the nucleolus, a subnuclear structure, in both virus-infected primary cells and in cells transfected with plasmids that express N protein. The coronavirus N protein is required for coronavirus RNA synthesis and has RNA chaperone activity that may be involved in template switch. Nucleocapsid protein is the most abundant protein of coronavirus. During virion assembly, N protein binds to viral RNA and leads to the formation of the helical nucleocapsid. Nucleocapsid protein is a highly immunogenic phosphoprotein also implicated in viral genome replication and in modulating cell signaling pathways. Because of the conservation of the N protein sequence and its strong immunogenicity, the N protein of coronavirus is chosen as a tool.

Product Notes
The NP-CoV (Catalog #
AAA8110592) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MERS-CoV Nucleocapsid Protein Antibody, Rabbit PAb, Antigen Affinity Purified reacts with MERS-CoV and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MERS-CoV Nucleocapsid can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000-1:5000 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 Antibody's applications haven't been validated with corresponding virus positive samples. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NP-CoV for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"MERS-CoV Nucleocapsid, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
