Related Product Information for anti-Map2k2 antibody
MEK1 and MEK2 are integral components of the MAP kinase cascade that regulates cell growth and differentiation and this pathway also plays a key role in synaptic plasticity in brain. Activation of MEK1/2 occurs via phosphorylation of two serine residues (Ser218 and Ser222). Activated MEK1/2 then acts as a dual specificity kinase phosphorylating both a threonine and a tyrosine residue on ERK. This phosphorylation of ERK by MEK1/2 is a critical step in the MAP kinase cascade.

Uniprot Description

MEK2: a dual-specificity protein kinase of the STE7 kinase family. Phosphorylated and activated by Raf and Mos kinases. Phosphorylates a Thr and a Tyr residue in a Thr-Glu-Tyr sequence located in the activation loop of ERK2 and ERK3. A component of MAP kinase signal transduction pathways involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction.

Product Notes

The Map2k2 map2k2 (Catalog #AAA641459) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MEK1, MEK2 (MAPK/ERK Kinase 1, MEK 1, Dual Specificity Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase 1, MAP Kinase Kinase 1, MAP2K1, MAPKK 1, MKK1, PRKMK1, ERK Activator Kinase 1 / MAPK/ERK Kinase 2, Dual Specificity Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase 2, M reacts with Bovine, Canine, Chicken, Drosophila, Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEK1, MEK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Map2k2 map2k2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MEK1, MEK2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
