Related Product Information for anti-MEF-2D antibody
This gene is a member of the myocyte-specific enhancer factor 2 (MEF2) family of transcription factors. Members of this family are involved in control of muscle and neuronal cell differentiation and development, and are regulated by class II histone deacetylases. Fusions of the encoded protein with Deleted in Azoospermia-Associated Protein 1 (DAZAP1) due to a translocation have been found in an acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line, suggesting a role in leukemogenesis. The encoded protein may also be involved in Parkinson disease and myotonic dystrophy. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. MEF2D (Myocyte Enhancer Factor 2D) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Phospholipase-C Pathway and Development Angiotensin activation of ERK. GO annotations related to this gene include transcription factor activity, sequence-specific DNA binding and RNA polymerase II transcription factor activity, sequence-specific DNA binding. An important paralog of this gene is MEF2A.

Product Notes

The MEF-2D mef2d (Catalog #AAA2548824) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-MEF-2D (Ser444) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEF-2D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:100-1:300 ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MEF-2D mef2d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MEF-2D, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
