Related Product Information for anti-CCL2 antibody
Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1), also called CCL2, belongs to a group of CC chemokines located in chromosome 17q11.2. MCP-1 protein interacts with chemokine C-C motif receptor 2 (CCR2) to activate and recruit monocytes, macrophages, CD4+ T cells and immature dendritic cells to the site of infection. The presence of MCP-1 protein in an adequate concentration is important for granuloma formation and M. tuberculosis clearance.

Uniprot Description

CCL2: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis or atherosclerosis. May be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis. Monomer or homodimer; in equilibrium. Binds to CCR2 and CCR4. Is tethered on endothelial cells by glycosaminoglycan (GAG) side chains of proteoglycans. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The CCL2 ccl2 (Catalog #AAA8101199) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MCP-1/CCL2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MCP-1/CCL2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL2 ccl2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MCP-1/CCL2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
