Related Product Information for anti-MAP2K2 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a dual specificity protein kinase that belongs to the MAP kinase kinase family. This kinase is known to play a critical role in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. It phosphorylates and thus activates MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK2/ERK3. The activation of this kinase itself is dependent on the Ser/Thr phosphorylation by MAP kinase kinase kinases. Mutations in this gene cause cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome (CFC syndrome), a disease characterized by heart defects, mental retardation, and distinctive facial features similar to those found in Noonan syndrome. The inhibition or degradation of this kinase is also found to be involved in the pathogenesis of Yersinia and anthrax. A pseudogene, which is located on chromosome 7, has been identified for this gene.

Uniprot Description

Catalyzes the concomitant phosphorylation of a threonine and a tyrosine residue in a Thr-Glu-Tyr sequence located in MAP kinases. Activates the ERK1 and ERK2 MAP kinases ().

Product Notes

The MAP2K2 map2k2 (Catalog #AAA9134762) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MAP2K2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAP2K2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500 - 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP2K2 map2k2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MLARRKPVLP ALTINPTIAE GPSPTSEGAS EANLVDLQKK LEELELDEQQ KKRLEAFLTQ KAKVGELKDD DFERISELGA GNGGVVTKVQ HRPSGLIMAR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAP2K2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
