Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Mannose Receptor/MRC1 detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P, FCM, Direct ELISA in Human; Mouse; Rat.

Background: The mannose receptor (Cluster of Differentiation 206, CD206) is a C-type lectin primarily present on the surface of macrophages, immature dendritic cells and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells, but is also expressed on the surface of skin cells such as human dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes. It is mapped to 10p12.33. The recognition of complex carbohydrate structures on glycoproteins is an important part of several biological processes, including cell-cell recognition, serum glycoprotein turnover, and neutralization of pathogens. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane receptor that mediates the endocytosis of glycoproteins by macrophages. The protein has been shown to bind high-mannose structures on the surface of potentially pathogenic viruses, bacteria, and fungi so that they can be neutralized by phagocytic engulfment.

Product Notes

The MRC1 mrc1 (Catalog #AAA1753033) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Mannose Receptor/MRC1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Mannose Receptor/MRC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.25-0.5ug/ml (Human, Mouse) IHC-P (Embedded Section): 0.5-1ug/ml (Human, Mouse, Rat) FC/FACS: 1-3ug/1x106 cells (Human, Mouse) Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml (Human) Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MRC1 mrc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Mannose Receptor/MRC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
