Related Product Information for anti-LMX1B antibody
LMX-1.2 is essential for the specification of dorsal limb fate. It is expressed in most of tissues, with highest levels in testis, thyroid, duodenum, skeletal muscle, and pancreatic islets. Defects in LMX-1.2 are the cause of nail-patella syndrome (NPS), also known as Onychoosteodysplasia. NPS is a disease that causes abnormal skeletal patterning and renal dysplasia. LIM homeodomain proteins are characterised by the presence of 2 tandem cysteine/histidine-rich, zinc-binding LIM domains.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of LIM-homeodomain family of proteins containing two N-terminal zinc-binding LIM domains, 1 homeodomain, and a C-terminal glutamine-rich domain. It functions as a transcription factor, and is essential for the normal development of dorsal limb structures, the glomerular basement membrane, the anterior segment of the eye, and dopaminergic and serotonergic neurons. Mutations in this gene are associated with nail-patella syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

LMX1B: Essential for the specification of dorsal limb fate at both the zeugopodal and autopodal levels. Defects in LMX1B are the cause of nail-patella syndrome (NPS); also known as onychoosteodysplasia. NPS is a disease that cause abnormal skeletal patterning and renal dysplasia. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The LMX1B lmx1b (Catalog #AAA619930) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LMX 1.2 (homeobox transcription factor 1 beta, LIM/homeobox protein LMX1B, LIM/homeobox protein 1.2, LMX-1.2, LMX1B) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LMX 1.2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LMX1B lmx1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LMX 1.2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
