Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested
Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml; Detects LexA-pRB in LexA-pRB transfected yeast lysate. LexA-pRB-transfected yeast cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with L2060 (0.1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunoprecipitation: 5ug immunoprecipitates LexA-pRB from 500ug LexA-pRB transfected yeast lysate.
Immunogen
His-tagged DNA binding domain of LexA protein corresponding to aa1-222.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Related Product Information for anti-lexA antibody
The LexA protein of Escherichia coli is a transcriptional repressor regulating approximately 20 genes, many of which are involved in DNA repair (SOS response). It binds with variable affinity to single-, double-, or even triple-operators via its amino-terminal domain that contains three alpha-helices spanning residues. This characteristic of LexA protein has been used to make efficient baits for two-hybrid studies.

Product Notes

The lexA (Catalog #AAA616282) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LexA, DNA-Binding Region reacts with E Coli and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LexA, DNA-Binding Region can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml; Detects LexA-pRB in LexA-pRB transfected yeast lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the lexA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LexA, DNA-Binding Region, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
