Uniprot Description

LARS: Catalyzes the specific attachment of an amino acid to its cognate tRNA in a two step reaction: the amino acid (AA) is first activated by ATP to form AA-AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of the tRNA. Exhibits a post-transfer editing activity to hydrolyze mischarged tRNAs. Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family.

Protein type: Translation; EC 6.1.1.4; Ligase; Amino Acid Metabolism - valine, leucine and isoleucine biosynthesis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q32

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: methionine-tRNA ligase activity; leucine-tRNA ligase activity; protein binding; ATP binding

Biological Process: leucyl-tRNA aminoacylation; tRNA aminoacylation for protein translation; regulation of translational fidelity; methionyl-tRNA aminoacylation; gene expression

Disease: Infantile Liver Failure Syndrome 1

Product Notes

The LARS lars (Catalog #AAA6484751) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LARS, CT (Leucyl-tRNA Synthetase Cytoplasmic, LeuRS, LEUS, LRS, FLJ10595, FLJ21788, hr025Cl, HSPC192, KIAA1352, LARS1, Leucine-tRNA Ligase, PIG44, RNTLS) (MaxLight 490) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LARS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-1:50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LARS lars for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LARS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
